Married couple, 1 qualifying child

Using: Joint return with 1 dependent child (eligibility subject to confirmation)

Why this applies

This is the schedule you selected, not an eligibility decision. Children generally qualify up to 18, or up to 23 in full-time education, subject to custody, maintenance and residence conditions. Married rates do not automatically combine two salaries. Non-resident and special regimes need a separate check.

Quick answers

Will I pay less tax in 2027?

Families with children do: the zero-tax band widens for married and parent computations with children. Single and standard rates for 2027 have not been published yet, so we do not show a 2027 figure for them.

Is the Super Bonus part of my salary?

No. It is a one-time, tax-free payment announced for 2027 based on qualifying 2025 work income, subject to implementing eligibility guidance: €1,000 at €12,000 or more, banded down to €500 from €2,000. It does not change your recurring pay.

Does the 25% company rate apply to sole traders?

No. It is announced for retained profits of qualifying companies with turnover up to €1 million, and the detailed rules are still pending.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the Budget speeches (with printed page references) and MTCA's published rate tables. Each calculator lists its sources.
